Journalists’ wills: a Gaza tradition
In Palestine’s Gaza, sharing and documenting the reality of Israel’s genocide is a death sentence.All Palestinian journalists in the besieged enclave wear the mark of truth on their backs.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed more than 253 journalists and media workers in the Palestinian territory.
Many of them knew they probably would not survive.
Still, they chose to write, to film, to testify. They documented their last moments, penned farewells in notebooks and recorded final breaths.
Here are some of their last words.
