Rushing Beat X - Hard 1CC (Kahlua)
Rushing Beat X: Return of the Brawl Brothers is a new beat 'em up from City Connection. It's a sequel to the SNES trilogy, but people outside of Japan may not even be aware of the series. All three games were localized under different names: Rival Turf, Brawl Brothers, and The Peace Keepers. It's been over 30 years since The Peace Keepers (Rushing Beat Shura) came out, so with beat 'em ups going through a renaissance since Streets of Rage 4 dropped, this was the right time to bring the series back.Here's one more clear, with Kahlua this time. She's the high speed, low damage archetype, so her combat style is pretty fun to play with, she just takes a little longer to kill enemies. She can do the run cancel infinite combo, so most of the bosses aren't a problem for her either. You just need to watch out for the minions that are constantly spawning, especially the ranged or flying attackers. I don't think she's as good as Rick or Kazan, but she has a strong super attack, unlike Kazan. It's a lot like Rick's, and it works perfectly as a highly damaging combo ender.
I've been sick as hell with the flu over the last week, so I've fallen even further behind on the stuff I'm trying to get done. I figured now that I'm feeling better, finishing up one more run for this game was a fine way to get back into the swing of things. If I do another video for this game, it'll probably be a Shura clear, but I kinda want to just play other stuff now. Maybe I'll give it a shot or two.
I think it'd also be fun to do a playthrough where you swap through the whole cast after each checkpoint. But I probably won't be doing that any time soon.
I'm heading back to Japan in 3 weeks, so I'd really like to spend the rest of the month focusing on arcade games that I can play while I'm over there. I'll be checking out the Shinobi Art of Vengeance DLC tomorrow though.
