Se registra el segundo julio más cálido de la historia según la Organización Meteorológica Mundial

La Organización Meteorológica Mundial (OMM) informó que el planeta ha registrado el segundo mes de julio más cálido de la historia, ya que el calor extremo, la sequía persistente y los incendios forestales afectaron a gran parte del hemisferio norte. La OMM indica que la temperatura media global del aire en la superficie durante julio fue de 1,47 grados Celsius por encima del promedio preindustrial comprendido de 1850 a 1900. En ese sentido, Europa Occidental vivió el periodo de junio a julio más caluroso registrado, con un calor extremo que se prolongó hasta agosto. Se han reportado precipitaciones y humedad del suelo excepcionalmente bajas en Francia, España, partes de Alemania y Gran Bretaña, así como en zonas más al este.
