We talked online just once… and then we FINALLY met in real life in Switzerland 🇨🇭🇵🇱

Natalia is from Poland, lives in Switzerland, and works as a makeup artist in the film industry. She showed me around Lausanne and the stunning vineyards of Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Lake Geneva.

We switched between French, English, Polish, German and even a little Japanese… and every time I spoke Polish, her brain glitched 😂

We met at 3:30 p.m., took the wrong train, toasted with rosé overlooking the lake, learned the Macarena, and ended the night with raclette. When we finally checked the time, 6 hours had passed. We didn't even notice the sun go down.

Thank you so much, Natalia, for being the best guide and for such an unforgettable day 🫶

📍 Lausanne & Lavaux, Switzerland

Currently, I speak 15 languages, which I studied properly. These are English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian, Russian, German, Turkish, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Polish, Dutch and Italian. And now I'm learning Vietnamese, Greek, Tagalog, Hindi and Cantonese! Apart from that, I speak Japanese for sure, which is my native language.
Furthermore, I know a tiny bit of Swedish, Romanian, Farsi, Swahili, Burmese, Geogian, Finnish, Uzbek, Kazakh and Bengali!
Of course, my skills of these languages are still far from sufficient.
The thing I value the most, however, is the attitude to trying to know their culture.
Interacting with people from different background is an eye-opening experience and that makes me really happy.
I wanna inspire people to learn different languages.
