Film, iki düşman aile çocuğunun umutsuz aşkını konu alır. Ali ve Zeynep birbirine âşık iki gençtir. İlişkilerini ailelerine duyurmaya karar veren Ali ve Zeynep, hesapta olmayan bir engelle karşılaşırlar. Zeynep’in babası yıllar önce ölmüştür ve ailenin reisliği Zeynep’in ağabeyi Recep’e kalmıştır. Zeynep’in evliliği için önce Recep’in onay vermesi gerekmektedir. Ancak Recep bu ilişkiye onay vermez. Öte yandan Ali’nin babası Veli de Zeynep’in kim olduğunu öğrenince kızı istemekten vazgeçer. Çünkü Veli ile Zeynep’in babası arasında yıllar öncesinden kalma bir düşmanlık vardır. Recep ise, bu sırada Zeynep ile Ali’yi birbirinden uzaklaştırmak için bir dizi oyun oynayacaktır.
