Footage Shows Violent Rain, Winds in Flood-Stricken Southern France

Heavy rainfall and raging winds on Tuesday, September 14, wreaked havoc in the southern French department of Gard, where two people have been reported missing amid floods, according to local authorities.

Weather service Meteo France placed the Gard department in "red alert" over risks of flooding and storms earlier on Tuesday, which has now been lowered two levels to a "yellow alert."

Around 800 rescuers remain mobilized to secure flooded areas in the department, according to the Gard prefecture.
