Israeli forces attacked Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor
Israel and Iran have traded missile attacks for a seventh day.The Israeli army said its fighter jets struck dozens of sites in Iran, including Natanz and the heavy water nuclear reactor which was originally called Arak and is now named Khondab.
Iran's atomic agency says there were no casualties and no risk to the area's residents.
Tehran calls it a “renewed violation of international law”.
Robert Kelley is a distinguished Fellow with the Stockholm International Peace research Institute and a former chief nuclear inspector in Iraq.
He says that heavy water poses no risk and that any reduction in the level of enrichment of their nuclear material needs to be gradual.
