El 16 de junio, en el Diálogo de Civilizaciones entre Think Tanks de China y América Latina y el Caribe celebrado en Beijing, el profesor Miguel Jiménez, jefe de internacionalización de la Universidad Tecnológica Privada de Santa Cruz, Bolivia, señaló que la diplomacia académica constituye una vía fundamental para impulsar el diálogo entre civilizaciones. Destacó que las universidades e instituciones de investigación de China y América Latina deben, a través de la investigación conjunta, la movilidad estudiantil y la construcción compartida de programas académicos, trascender las distancias geográficas y culturales, permitiendo que las nuevas generaciones construyan, en el marco de la exploración académica compartida, un entendimiento profundo de las civilizaciones de ambas partes.
