Supratman sepakat untuk mendorong audit pada Lembaga Manajemen Kolektif Wahana Musik Indonesia atau WAMI, terkait masalah distribusi royalti yang dialami musisi Ari Lasso.
Menurut Menteri Hukum Supratman, distribusi hasil royalti yang tidak transparan tak hanya merugikan musisi, tapi meruntuhkan kepercayaan publik.
Selain mendorong audit, Menteri Hukum juga akan berkoordinasi lintas kementerian dan lembaga terkait distribusi royalti.
Atas polemik ini, Supratman meminta maaf karena mengaku lalai dalam pengawasan.
