Banyak jenazah mengalami luka bakar parah sehingga sulit untuk diidentifikasi saat tiba di Pusat Trauma Rumah Sakit Umum Ahmedabad.
Beberapa jenazah bahkan masih terpasang sabuk pengaman, membuat proses identifikasi semakin sulit.
Selain itu korban selamat yang tidak sadarkan diri juga mengalami luka bakar parah.
Dikutip dari Kompas.com, kabar itu dikonfirmasi oleh Direktur Institut Penyakit Ginjal dan Pusat Penelitian Trauma Rumah Sakit Umum Ahmedabad, Pranjal Modi, Kamis (12/6).
Belum diketahui pasti apakah para korban selamat berasal dari dalam pesawat atau dari kawasan permukiman tempat pesawat jatuh.
Pesawat naas itu diketahui jatuh di area padat penduduk dan menghantam asrama kedokteran BJ Medical College.
Meski demikian, banyak mahasiswa kedokteran yang menjadi korban dalam peristiwa tragis ini.
Adapun rekaman video yang beredar di media sosial, tampak kobaran api besar dan asap hitam membumbung tinggi dari lokasi kejadian.
