Gaji anggota DPR RI diketahui beredar di media sosial, disebut sesuai Edaran Setjen DPR Nomor KU.00/9414/DPR RI/XII/2010.
Nilainya diperkirakan lebih dari Rp100 juta per bulan.
Angka itu membuat masyarakat geram, apalagi setelah ada pernyataan sejumlah anggota DPR yang menganggap tunjangan rumah dan beras bernilai puluhan juta rupiah sebagai hal wajar.
Mahfud MD melalui kanal YouTube pribadinya menyinggung data terbaru Seknas Fitra.
Disebutkan rata-rata anggota DPR bisa menerima sekitar Rp2,8 miliar per tahun atau lebih dari Rp230 juta per bulan pada 2025.
"Menurut saya kalo cuma Rp230 juta per bulan, yang saya dengar justru miliaran per bulan," ungkap Mahfud MD dalam siniarnya yang diunggah Selasa (26/8/2025).
Menurut Mahfud, nilai tersebut justru lebih kecil dibanding fakta sebenarnya.
Ia mengaku saat menjabat anggota DPR periode 2004–2009, ada berbagai tambahan di luar gaji pokok yang tidak terlihat dalam data resmi.
Ia mencontohkan adanya uang reses, kunjungan konstituen, hingga tambahan saat pembahasan undang-undang.
Bahkan setiap undang-undang yang dibahas ada imbalan tersendiri bagi anggota DPR.
Mahfud menyebut pada masanya, gaji pokok hanya Rp4,8 juta.
Namun berbagai tunjangan seperti rumah, transportasi, dan jabatan membuat jumlahnya meningkat signifikan.
Mahfud menegaskan, publik harus mengetahui fakta detail gaji dan tunjangan DPR agar tidak terjebak pada angka nominal yang tampak kecil, tetapi sebenarnya jauh lebih besar.
