Der Fall wirft zugleich neue Fragen zum Versagen der Ermittlungsbehörden auf: Erst eine KI-gestützte Gesichtserkennung eines Journalisten führte 2024 zu Klettes Festnahme. Während der Prozess vor dem Ende steht, fehlt von den mutmaßlichen Komplizen Ernst-Volker Staub und Burkhard Garweg weiterhin jede Spur.
