EEUU sanciona a CUPET tras desmentir licencia petrolera a Cuba
Estados Unidos SANCIONÓ este jueves 11 de junio de 2026 a CUPET, la petrolera estatal del régimen cubano, tras desmentir la supuesta "licencia especial" para enviar petróleo a Cuba. El secretario de Estado Marco Rubio anunció la medida en virtud de la orden ejecutiva 14404 del presidente Donald Trump.La sanción llegó horas después de que el Departamento de Estado negara que Vanguard Energy, empresa radicada en Coral Gables, tuviera autorización para exportar 250,000 barriles de combustible a la isla. Además, el recaudador de impuestos de Miami-Dade, el cubanoamericano Dariel Fernández, REVOCÓ la licencia comercial de la compañía por sus envíos propuestos a la dictadura.
Rubio acusó a las élites comunistas de usar la energía como herramienta de CONTROL SOCIAL: combustible para el avión privado de los Castro, para las fuerzas represivas y para hoteles turísticos vacíos, mientras el pueblo cubano sufre APAGONES interminables y espera semanas para llenar un tanque.
La OFAC bloqueará los activos de CUPET y rastreará a quienes negocien con ella, mientras voceros del régimen calificaron la medida de "criminal intento de asfixiar a un pueblo". Washington adelantó que continuará atacando el comercio energético de la dictadura con nuevas sanciones.
