K-Computer. Yani K-Bilgisayarı. Japonya’da üretilmiş dünyanın en hızlı bilgisayarlarından biriydi. 2019’un sonunda çalışmaları sonlandırılan bu süper bilgisayar tam 83.000 işlemciye sahipti ve tüm bilim alanları tarafından çok farklı amaçlarla kullanıldı. Bu alanlardan biri de Nörobilimdi.Nörobilimciler elbette böyle bir gücü insan beynini anlamak amacıyla kullandılar. Ve 83.000 işlemciyi, gücünün son raddesinde çalıştırarak insan beyninin sadece 1 saniyenin 100’de 1’inde yaptığı işlemleri simüle etmeyi başarabildi. Bu kadar yüksek bir güç fakat sonuç bir nevi hayal kırıklığı. Bu elbette sayısız çalışmadan sadece birisiydi.
Tüm dünyada Avrupa Birliği, Birleşmiş Milletler, tüm ülkeler, her yıl harcanan milyarlarca dolar, ayrılan bütçeler, sayısız bilim insanı. Tek bir şey için uğraşıyorlar. 1.5 kilogram ağırlığında ve yaklaşık 1200 cm3 hacminde ufacık bir organı. Evrende karşılaştığımız belki de en karmaşık yapıyı. İnsan beynini!
