Kasus COVID-19 di Asia Meningkat, Kemenkes Terbitkan Surat Edaran untuk Waspada | Narasi Daily
Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) RI merilis surat edaran (SE) terkait kewaspadaan terhadap peningkatan kasus COVID-19.Dalam SE No. SR.03.01/C/1422/2025 tertanggal 28 Mei 2025 itu, Kemenkes mengungkap kasus COVID-19 kian meningkat di beberapa negara kawasan Asia, seperti Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, dan Singapura.
Varian COVID-19 dominan yang menyebar di Thailand adalah XEC dan JN.1, di Singapura LF.7 dan NB.1.8 (turunan JN.1), di Hongkong JN.1, dan di Malaysia adalah XEC (turunan J.1).
Meski begitu, transmisi penularannya masih relatif rendah, demikian dengan angka kematiannya.
“Surat edaran ini bertujuan dalam rangka meningkatkan kewaspadaan COVID-19 maupun penyakit potensial kejadian luar biasa atau wabah lainnya," jelas SE yang ditandatangani Pelaksana Tugas (Plt.) Dirjen Penanggulangan Penyakit Kementerian Kesehatan, Murti Utami.
Lewat SE ini, Kemenkes turut memperingatkan Dinas Kesehatan, UPT Bidang Kekarantinaan Kesehatan, UPT Bidang Laboratorium Kesehatan Masyarakat, hingga fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan—agar terus memantau perkembangan COVID-19 lewat kanal resmi pemerintah dan World Health Organization (WHO).
Kasus COVID-19 di Asia memang melonjak sepekan ini. Sebut saja di Thailand—dikutip The Nation, Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) melaporkan ada 65.007 kasus baru dan 8 kematian pada 18-24 Mei 2025.
