In this video, I begin my journey in **Monrovia**, the capital of **Liberia**, often referred to as the **"America of Africa."** I explore the deep historical connection between Liberia and the United States, explaining how freed American slaves founded the country and shaped its identity. I also discuss the dark past of **slavery**, how it led to Liberia’s formation, and why its flag and system resemble that of the U.S. I go on to explain the country’s political landscape, touching on how many **presidents** have led Liberia over the years and how leadership has evolved.After the history lesson, I stop by an **Indian restaurant** for some familiar flavors and then head out to explore the **city center and streets of Monrovia**. I come across a few **Indian grocery stores**, showing the city's diversity. To end the day, I hop on a **motorcycle taxi** to return to my hotel, but the ride takes an unexpected turn when a **police officer stops us** for not wearing a helmet and **demands a bribe**. It was a raw and real travel experience in West Africa – full of culture, food, history, and a bit of adventure.
