Nuovo Guinnes World Record per Mirko Rainer, l’altoatesino patron del ristorante Montalbano di San Pietro di Stabio, in Canton Ticino, appassionato di sciabola e tiro con l’arco. Rainer è tornato nella sua regione d’origine, l’Alto Adige appunto, per tentare di mettere a segno un nuovo record di sabrage, ossia l’arte di aprire – sciabolandola – una bottiglia di bollicine: una tradizione nata in epoca napoleonica, di grande fascino e impatto visivo. Il primo Guinness World Record con la sciabola di Mirko Rainer risale al 2014, quando a Mendrisio riuscì ad aprire 47 bottiglie durante «La Sciabolata da Record», evento di beneficenza organizzato insieme alla moglie Arianna Maugeri a sostegno del Servizio Autoambulanza Mendrisiotto. Rainer è nuovamente riuscito nell’intento, sciabolando 96 bottiglie in 60 secondi, che quindi segnano il nuovo record mondiale da batter per chiunque volesse provare a insidiare il titolo al rinnovato Campione del mondo.
