India-China face-off in Arunachal Pradesh is still on. In the first official confirmation, ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Kapur has said Indian and Chinese troops faced off at several locations in Arunachal, and some of these face-offs are still continuing. He also praised the ITBP's newly raised Shaurya Commandos for their role on the LAC.

The trouble began in late July near Taksing in Upper Subansiri district, where, according to government sources quoted in reports, the Chinese PLA pitched tents about 6–7 km inside India's perception of the Line of Actual Control. Reports say the friction continued even as Chinese President Xi Jinping visited New Delhi for the BRICS Summit in September.
