PLO | Tướng quân đội Bolivia bị bắt giữ sau vụ đảo chính bất thành.Theo hãng tin Reuters, chiều 26-6, theo giờ địa phương, chính quyền Bolivia đã bắt giữ Tướng Juan Jose Zuniga vài giờ sau khi các đơn vị quân đội dưới quyền chỉ huy của viên sĩ quan này xông vào Dinh Tổng thống Bolivia.
Tổng Công tố Bolivia cho biết ông Zuniga và những người lính tham gia vào nỗ lực được miêu tả là đảo chính quân sự sẽ bị điều tra. Trước đó, Tổng thống Bolivia Luis Arce đã bổ nhiệm ông Jose Wilson Sanchez Velazquez làm tư lệnh mới của quân đội trong khi tước quyền chỉ huy quân sự của tướng Juan Jose Zuniga. Phát biểu trong lễ bổ nhiệm tân Tổng tư lệnh Lực lượng quân đội, Tổng thống Bolivia, ông Luis Arce kêu gọi người dân, các tổ chức xã hội Bolivia phản đối và chống lại âm mưu đảo chính bảo vệ nền dân chủ, và khẳng định không cho phép lực lượng đảo chính cướp đi sinh mạng của người dân. Sau khi nhậm chức, tân Tổng Tư lệnh quân đội Bolivia đã ra lệnh cho các binh sĩ dưới quyền tướng Zuniga trở về đơn vị và không nên có những hành động bất cẩn gây đổ máu.
