Dokter Tan menyoroti menu MBG sekaligus peran ahli gizi dalam program tersebut.
Pihaknya semakin kaget seusai mengetahui fakta karena sebagian besar ahli gizi yang terlibat masih berstatus fresh graduate atau baru lulus kuliah.
Dokter Tan semakin heran, karena para ahli gizi yang masih baru itu tak memahami sistem Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) dan Ultra-Processed Food (UPF).
Kritikan itu disampaikan dalam rapat Komisi IX DPR RI, Selasa (22/9).
Terkait temuannya itu, dokter Tan meminta pemerintah menghentikan penggunaan UPF dalam MBG.
Bahkan, ia mewanti-wanti agar kasus ini tidak menjadi sorotan internasional.
Sebagai informasi, dokter Tan menempuh pendidikan kedokteran di Universitas Tarumanegara pada 1983.
Seusai lulus, ia melanjutkan karier profesional di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) dan meraih gelar Magister Humaniora pada 2014.
Lalu ia mendapat gelar S2 bidang instructional physiotherapy di Perth, Australia.
Perempuan kelahiran Beijing, Tiongkok, 17 September 1964 itu adalah ahli gizi yang sering menjadi pembicara dalam berbagai acara seminar dan penyuluhan.
Ia memberikan edukasi ke masyarakat mengenai kesehatan, gizi makanan hingga tumbuh kembang anak.
Melalui Instagram dan media sosial lainnya, Tan Shot Yen juga rajin mengunggah berbagai konten informasi di bidangnya.
