Местные предупреждали: «Зачем тебе эти мельницы? Там ничего нет!». Но я поехал. 350 километров грунтовок, болот и таёжных троп до деревень, где живёт меньше людей, чем в одном подъезде Москвы.
Деревня Кильца — это машина времени: дома-гиганты без скота, крест-обереги на каждом углу и полная тишина. А в Кимже стоят 200-летние ветряки — самые северные мельницы мира. Одна до сих пор может молоть зерно, но её боятся запускать: тормоза сломались. Запустишь — не остановишь.
