«Ci sono le materie che sono 23 e poi le funzioni per ogni materia. Se pensiamo alla Protezione civile, una delle funzioni potrebbe essere di consentire al presidente di Regione di essere autonomo in materia di ordinanze in deroga, cosa che oggi dobbiamo chiedere a livello nazionale. Questo è efficienza vera, che serve per dare risposte ai cittadini». Sono le parole del presidente del Veneto Luca Zaia in occasione della riapertura delle trattative sull'Autonomia con il Governo. In una nota ufficiale, la Regione, alla luce delle nuove disposizioni vigenti, chiede la ripresa dell'iter per il conseguimento dell'autonomia differenziata. Come è previsto dall'articolo 4 della legge Calderoli, sono state subito avanzate richieste di maggiore autonomia nelle nove materie «non Lep», cioè trasferibili senza l'approvazione degli standard minimi dei servizi, i Lep appunto, che devono essere garantiti in tutte le Regioni. Nella lettera alla presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni, Zaia chiede di «aggiungere, per una prima indagine dei più complessi profili di attribuzione», anche le materie «Lep» oggetto della pre-intesa del 2018: Politiche del lavoro, Istruzione, Salute, Tutela dell'ambiente e dell'ecosistema.
