Episodi che fino a poco tempo fa sembravano appartenere alla finzione oggi si manifestano nella realtà, con dinamiche inquietanti e difficili da intercettare. Persone vulnerabili vengono avvicinate online, manipolate e talvolta ricattate, fino a essere spinte a gesti estremi. Un fenomeno che un tempo si sviluppava in contesti nascosti, ma che oggi si diffonde in rete con una rapidità e una portata senza precedenti.
Internet, infatti, permette di raggiungere contemporaneamente migliaia di persone, cambiando radicalmente la scala del problema. Allo stesso tempo, però, a questa potenza non sembra corrispondere un adeguato sistema di regole: mentre i media tradizionali sono fortemente regolamentati, i #social - pur essendo più invasivi - risultano spesso meno vincolati.
Il tema diventa ancora più delicato considerando l’uso quotidiano da parte dei minori. Smartphone e app sono ormai parte integrante della loro vita, spesso senza un reale controllo, ed è in questo contesto che possono nascere dinamiche pericolose.
