Israel ataca Damasco en medio de enfrentamientos entre Gobierno sirio y la minoría drusa en Sueida

Israel lanzó múltiples ataques contra Damasco, en medio de los enfrentamientos entre las fuerzas gubernamentales sirias y la minoría drusa, tras el colapso del alto el fuego. Las fuerzas israelíes bombardearon las instalaciones del Ministerio de Defensa sirio y áreas cercanas al palacio presidencial. El incidente supone una escalada significativa en el conflicto entre Israel y la Administración encabezada por el presidente interino Ahmed al-Sharaa. El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Siria condenó enérgicamente la agresión israelí. El Gobierno sirio y líderes de la minoría drusa habían anunciado recientemente un nuevo alto el fuego que supuso la retirada del ejército sirio de la provincia de Sueida, en el sur del país. Más de 350 personas han perdido la vida desde el fin de semana en violentos enfrentamientos en esta región. La minoría drusa profesa una religión derivada del islam chií. Viven principalmente en Siria, Líbano e Israel.
