Con l’affermarsi del liberismo degli anni ’80, incarnato da Reagan e #Thatcher, si è consolidata una visione economica in cui «la società del debito nasce quando, per mantenere gli standard, lo Stato si indebita con lo stesso ceto capitalistico che non può più tassare». Una dinamica paradossale che ha portato le classi lavoratrici a contribuire alla remunerazione dei capitali.
