Das Industriecenter Obernburg (ICO) in Unterfranken ist Europas größter Chemiefaserstandort. Als vor ein paar Jahren das neue Logistikzentrum gebaut wurde, das so groß wie zehn Fußballfelder ist, musste das ICO für Ausgleich sorgen. Auf dem Dach des Logistikzentrums entstand eine Biodiversitäts-Fläche von 71.000 Quadratmetern. Der Boden besteht aus Granulat und Waldboden aus der Region, darauf wachsen viele Pflanzen. Nach Angaben der Uni Braunschweig speichert das Gründach etwa 39 Tonnen CO2 pro Jahr.Autorin: Babara Ecke
