Just landed in Chengdu, China's vibrant capital of Sichuan province, at 2 a.m.. Instead of heading straight to sleep, my travel curiosity took over completely! Walking the neon-lit late-night streets of Chengdu, I stumbled upon a mind-blowing, ultra-modern and futuristic ear-cleaning shop that completely redefined relaxation.
I sat down with a young, 20-year-old ear-picking master who took traditional Chinese ear cleaning to a whole new dimension for me. Using an arsenal of specialized tools and a high-tech microscopic camera fed directly into my ear canal, we watched everything live on a massive TV screen right in front of us! It felt like watching an immersive, high-stakes sci-fi movie while actually feeling every single delicate movement inside my head simultaneously. Talk about absolute ASMR bliss and suspense rolled into one!
After getting my ears thoroughly reset, midnight hunger hit hard. I dove straight into the legendary Chengdu night food scene, hunting down a steaming bowl of local street food noodles, pairing it with rich, homemade fresh soy milk, and capping it off at an incredible local craft beer spot boasting 50 different beers, rice wine, and plum wine all on tap.
By the time I finally rolled into my hotel and flopped face-first onto the bed at 3:00 AM, my mind (and ears!) were completely blown. Welcome to China late-night style!
