Bupati Tapanuli Tengah, Masinton Pasaribu mengatakan bahwa penundaan keikutsertaan tersebut tidak menimbulkan kerugian bagi para peserta.
Menurutnya, materi yang disampaikan dalam retret mayoritas sudah pernah diberikan saat sekolah partai kader PDIP.
Masinton menganggap materi dalam retret hanyalah bagian dari pendalaman.
Masinton menambahkan, sesi retret ini juga difokuskan pada pendalaman aspek teknis yang berkaitan dengan tata kelola pemerintahan.
Menurutnya, hal itu juga bukan merupakan hal baru bagi kader PDIP.
