El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Wang Yi, expresó el 3 de marzo en una conversación telefónica con su homólogo israelí, Gideon Sa'ar, que la abstención del uso o de la amenaza de la fuerza en las relaciones internacionales beneficia los intereses fundamentales de todos, incluidos los de Israel.Wang señaló que China ha abogado consistentemente por resolver los asuntos internacionales y regionales críticos a través del diálogo y la consulta, y que todas las partes deben adherirse a los propósitos y principios de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas.
Subrayó que el verdadero valor de la fuerza militar no reside en el campo de batalla, sino en prevenir la guerra, e indicó que China pide el cese inmediato de las operaciones militares para evitar que el conflicto se intensifique aún más y se salga de control.
A solicitud del funcionario chino, Sa'ar se comprometió a proteger la seguridad del personal y las instituciones chinas.
