Gap vs Instinctive? I Shot Both for Score with My Trad Bow
This is my Backyard Archery Championships indoor round shot with my traditional bow at 20 yards. It’s a 60 arrow round for score out of 600, and this year I decided to shoot it two different ways. The first half using gap shooting and the second half shooting instinctive.I ended up shooting 31 points higher than last year and I actually scored better shooting instinctive than gap. Even more important, I had more fun shooting instinctive.
The Backyard Archery Championships is a digital mail-in tournament where archers from around the world can register, shoot at home, and submit scores to see how they stack up against others. You can shoot different bow styles, different rounds, and submit as many rounds with different bows as you want.
This year the tournament is also tied to a giveaway for Easton X10 Parallel Pro arrows. Every registration earns an entry and each score submission earns another. Free entry details are available as well.
If you want a fun reason to shoot for score, track improvement, and be part of a global archery tournament, check it out!
