Mais de dez anos após sua estreia no Brasil, o Jeep Renegade acaba de receber o que a marca considera sua maior atualização da história. O novo Renegade 2027 se destaca, principalmente, pela estreia da mecânica híbrida leve de 48 volts em duas versões. Além disso, todos os modelos trazem novidades estéticas que aproximam-nos tanto dos novos Jeep elétricos que chegam em breve quanto dos irmãos maiores, Compass e Commander.O Renegade Longitude 2027 tem preço de R$ 158.690. No quesito motorização, as versões intermediárias Longitude e Sahara inauguram o uso da tecnologia híbrida leve (MHEV) de 48V associada ao motor 1.3 turboflex de 176 cv e 27,5 kgfm (presente em todas as variantes). Esse sistema paralelo ao arranjo elétrico convencional fornece energia mecânica e elétrica, otimizando o torque e reduzindo o consumo urbano em cerca de 7%, além de diminuir as emissões de CO2 em 8%.
Na prática, o consumo urbano divulgado chega a 11,9 km/l com gasolina e 8,3 km/l com etanol, enquanto na estrada atinge 11,8 km/l (gasolina) e 8,6 km/l (etanol).
