Our biggest untapped energy source is all around us | Brendan MacDonald | TEDxOshawa
In his talk Brendan wants us to know that in average 70% of heat used in manufacturing processes is expelled as waste heat. We now have the technology to capture this waste heat and recycle it to produce electricity right there in the manufacturing facility. This will help industries cut down on cost of production as well as reduce carbon emissions therefore helping the environment.Citations in this talk:

IntechOpen. Brendan MacDonald is the Chief Executive Officer of Ekstera and an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ontario Tech University. He is driven by a passion for creating a more sustainable future. He believes that the vast amount of heat wasted every day holds enormous potential to transform global energy use. By redefining waste as opportunity, Brendan explores ways to turn lost energy into clean electricity and inspire people to see possibility where others see discard, sparking a global shift toward smarter, more sustainable energy use.
