L'uomo, 43 anni, di origine marocchina e residente a Sasso Marconi, è morto domenica 19 luglio in via Svevo, nel quartiere Pilastro, dopo un intervento della polizia intervenuta su segnalazione dei residenti per il suo stato di agitazione. Secondo la ricostruzione degli inquirenti, #Fakir avrebbe colpito l'auto delle forze dell'ordine prima di essere immobilizzato a terra con delle fascette ai polsi e alle caviglie, alla presenza anche del personale del 118. Poco dopo il fermo, l'uomo ha accusato un malore ed è deceduto. La Procura ha aperto un'inchiesta per omicidio colposo e disposto l'autopsia, iscrivendo sei persone in un registro dedicato — i due agenti e quattro operatori sanitari — grazie alla nuova norma dello "scudo" prevista dal decreto sicurezza. Nella notte tra domenica e lunedì si sono registrati scontri a Bologna tra manifestanti e forze dell'ordine, con undici persone rimaste ferite.
