Geburtstag Konrad Adenauers blickt Historiker Prof. Friedrich Kießling auf dessen politischen Führungsstil – und sieht deutliche Unterschiede zur heutigen CDU. Adenauer habe auch in schwierigen Zeiten mit „konzeptioneller Klarheit“, Hartnäckigkeit und einem aktiven politischen Kurs regiert. Besonders beim Umgang mit rechtsextremen Parteien sei seine Linie früh und konsequent gewesen. Für die heutige CDU liege darin eine mögliche Lehre: weniger reagieren, weniger getrieben wirken – und politische Grundsätze klarer verfolgen.
