La ONU advierte sobre riesgo de hambruna en Sudán

En Sudán, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas ha vuelto a advertir sobre la creciente crisis humanitaria que azota el país.

“El tiempo se acaba para millones de personas que corren un riesgo inminente de hambruna, incluidos 3,6 millones de niños y niñas que padecen desnutrición aguda, y que se encuentran desplazadas de sus tierras, viviendo bajo bombardeos y sin acceso a ayuda humanitaria”, dijo el portavoz de Naciones Unidas para la Coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios Jens Laerke.

Los combates entre el Ejército de Sudán y el grupo paramilitar Fuerzas de Apoyo Rápido siguen siendo particularmente intensos en la capital, Jartum, y en El Fasher, la capital del estado de Darfur del Norte.
