Warga diketahui mengamuk setelah mendapati kabar pelaku pencurian hewan yang tewas saat ditangkap polisi.
Massa tersebut diketahui datang ke kantor Polres Lumajang pada pukul 20.14 WIB, menggunakan empat mobil pikap.
Kedatangan warga itu diiringi dengan teriakan ungkapan kekesalan kepada pihak kepolisian.
Sementara itu menanggapi aksi demo warga, personil kepolisian bersiaga dari dalam gedung.
Akan tetapi, ada sejumlah massa yang terlanjut dilahap amarah dan berhasil membobol gerbang dengan merusak portal.
Kejadian semakin ricuh setelah amukan massa kian tak terkendali usai merengsek masuk ke dalam Polres Lumajang.
Berbagai benda seperti helm, papan, tulis, hingga bebatuan dilemparkan ke kantor polisi.
Tak berselang lama setelah aksi ricuh itu, polisi akhirnya berhasil mengamankan situasi dan menangkap para pelaku anarkis.
Dari pantauan di lokasi, tampak sejumlah helm dari kendaraan yang terparkir di Mapolres Lumajang rusak.
Selain itu kaca di ruangan lantai dua juga dilaporkan retak akibat terkena lemparan batu.
Hingga saat ini Polres Lumajang masih belum memberikan keterangan apa pun.
