On September 18, 2023, Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery at a GameStop in South Hill, WA. Earlier that morning, a vehicle had crashed into the store, leaving it unsecured. Later, a different individual took advantage of this and stole over $1,500 worth of merchandise, including two PS5s and several Switch consoles. Deputies, assisted by a K9 unit, tracked the suspect to a backyard shed with suspiciously stacked items. After announcing their presence and receiving no response, a deputy investigated further and noticed feet under the clutter.
