Polens neuer Präsident polarisiert. Die einen feiern den Nationalisten Karol Nawrocki, andere befürchten Rückschritte – etwa beim Thema LGBTQ und Abtreibung.Die Euphorie war groß im Herbst 2023: Donald Tusk hatte die Parlamentswahl gewonnen. Die rechtspopulistische Regierung war nach acht Jahren abgewählt. Polen galt als Musterfall dafür, dass ein Kurswechsel weg vom Nationalismus zurück zur solidarischen Gesellschaft möglich ist. Nun aber steht all das in Frage: Der populistische Kandidat Karol Nawrocki hat die Präsidentenwahl überraschend gewonnen und sofort angekündigt, der liberalen Regierung das Leben schwer zu machen.
