Ich besuche die erste Privatstadt der Welt I Y-Kollektiv
Ein Karibikparadies ohne Staat, ohne klassische Demokratie, mit kaum Steuern und eigenen Regeln: In Próspera auf der Insel Roatán in Honduras soll eine neue Art von Stadt entstehen. Finanziert von Tech-Investoren, organisiert wie ein Unternehmen und gedacht als Modell für eine Zukunft, in der der Markt mehr entscheidet als Parlamente.Y-Kollektiv-Reporter Lukas Wiehler reist in diese sogenannte Privatstadt und trifft Unternehmer und Auswanderer, die hier Freiheit von Bürokratie und Steuern suchen. Er spricht aber auch mit Einheimischen, die sich übergangen fühlen, und mit Vertretern der honduranischen Regierung, die juristisch gegen das Projekt vorgehen.
Welche Regeln gelten dort wirklich? Und was bedeutet es, wenn eine Aktiengesellschaft staatliche Aufgaben übernimmt?
