Pasalnya, proses pemakzulan itu dimulai terlebih dahulu di DPR.
Hal itu disampaikan Jimly di saat ditemui di Masjid Al-Azhar, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, pada Jumat (6/6/2025).
Sementara Gibran didukung oleh partai politik Koalisi Indonesia Maju (KIM) Plus yang memiliki hampir 80 persen kursi di DPR.
Sedangkan untuk memakzulkan Gibran, setidaknya sidang pleno DPR untuk proses pemakzulan harus diikuti oleh 2/3 dari total legislator di parlemen.
"Jadi, langkah pertama harus beres dulu di DPR. Dua per tiga (suara DPR) harus setuju dengan tuntutan dengan berbagai alasan dan pertimbangannya untuk dibuktikan tadi (di MK)," ujar Jimly.
Terlebih KIM Plus diketahui oleh Partai Gerindra.
Di satu sisi, Gerindra diketuai oleh Prabowo Subianto.
