Everyone Missed What PhotoCraft Can Actually Do
Everyone's calling PhotoCraft a Photoshop clone or dismissing it as AI slop. After putting it to work, I think they're missing what makes it different. In this video, I connect an AI agent to PhotoCraft and use prompts to edit a layered image, change backgrounds, and work with masks and effects. You'll see what works, what needs manual cleanup, and why this workflow has me switching photo editors.
I also investigate the project's development, revisit a bug I reported, and test whether the latest release actually fixes it.
Covered in this video:
- AI-assisted editing with live previews in PhotoCraft
- Working with layers, masks, backgrounds, and shadows
- Where automation helps and where manual editing still matters
- Development activity, community contributions, and bug fixes
- Why I think PhotoCraft deserves more than a quick Photoshop comparison
