JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Per tanggal 28 Juni, kurs dollar AS menyentuh 16.337 rupiah.Ketua Umum KADIN, Arsjad Rasjid mengatakan ada perbedaan situasi di masa krisis moneter tahun 1998 dengan kondisi saat ini.
Menurut Arsjad, ada kekhawatiran di masyarakat. Meski demikian, ada perbedaan-perbedaan, contohnya Bank Indonesia dulu tidak memiliki instrumen untuk memonitor utang-utang swasta.
Hal ini berbeda dengan kondisi sekarang.
Menurutnya, Indonesia belajar banyak dari peristiwa 98 dan telah melakukan sejumlah persiapan-persiapan untuk menghadapi situasi tersebut.
"Kalau dilihat, resiliensi Indonesia cukup bagus, tuh even pandemic kita bisa menjaga hal tersebut," katanya.
Arsjad Rasjid mengatakan perlu waspada, namun harus tetap optimis. Sebab, ketika masyarakat pesimis, bisa mempengaruhi seluruh negeri.
"Waspada, yes. Agility, penting. Makanya, pengusaha bicara agility bagaimana supaya kita bisa adaptif, inovatif, dan resiliensi," katanya.
Masa transisi politik dari pemerintahan Jokowi ke Prabowo ini mempengaruhi ekonomi Indonesia, karena pasar melihat ada apa nih bagaimana ke depannya.
Arsjad mengatakan sudah ada pertemuan antara tim presiden terpilih Prabowo Subianto dengan pemerintah. Hal ini menjadi sinyal baik dan persiapan transisi dari pemerintahan Jokowi-Maruf Amin ke Prabowo-Gibran.
