Meghalaya Honeymoon Horror: Police Say Case Cracked, Wife Sonam Raghuvanshi Nabbed | Spotlight | N18GThe "missing" wife of a man from India's Indore city who was found dead in the northeastern Meghalaya state, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur, officials said on Monday. According to the police, the wife, Sonam, allegedly orchestrated the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi by hiring contract killers. Officials said they found Sonam in an unconscious state on Saturday night at an eatery in Ghazipur. She was taken to the Ghazipur Medical College for treatment, where she surrendered before the police, and was subsequently arrested. Raja and Sonam were married on May 11, and by May 20, they had set out for their honeymoon. While the former's body was found in a gorge on June 2, the latter is now in custody. The police have claimed that Raja was hacked to death with a machete.
