Joan Ganz Cooney, co-founder of Children's Television Workshop, opens up to older audiences yet to recognise her in an ad for American Express. Cooney notably suggested late in the 60's that advertising should teach children letters and numbers, expressing concern that advertising was too universally appealing and that children could easily end up singing jingles from beer commercials.
