Taikonautas de Shenzhou-23 completan un experimento en órbita para cultivar 2 generaciones de arroz

Más de dos meses después de llegar a la estación espacial china Tiangong, los taikonautas de la misión Shenzhou-23 han completado la primera ronda de recolección y almacenamiento de muestras para un experimento pionero. El objetivo del estudio es lograr el primer cultivo continuo de dos generaciones de arroz en órbita. De esta manera, los científicos podrán observar el ciclo de vida completo del cultivo, de semilla a semilla, en dos ocasiones consecutivas. Los investigadores esperan que el experimento revele cómo la exposición a largo plazo a la microgravedad afecta a la estabilidad genética y la adaptabilidad ambiental del arroz. Los resultados podrían permitir a los taikonautas cultivar alimentos en el espacio.
