https://www.dryveup.com/satmarmMonsey today is not the Monsey of decades past. What was once a small village has grown into one of the most vibrant Chasidish — and more specifically, Satmar — strongholds in the world.
Nowhere is this more evident than in the growth of our mosdos. In addition to the natural growth, bli ayin horah, every year sees more than a hundred families move to Monsey, adding to the hundreds of children born here. The demand for our wonderful and mesorah’dig chinuch has exploded, and our mosdos are left racing to keep up.
Today, our children have long outgrown the old buildings we use; there is literally no room left. Without the urgent completion of a new building, entire classes will be left without a roof over their heads.
This year, we B”H completed a monumental step forward: the Werzberger Building, a 135,000-square-foot center of Torah and Chinuch that will serve as the home for close to 1,500 young boys. The cost of this project is staggering — $35 million! — but the need was and is just as great.
We have already invested $30 million into this building. Now, $5 million more stands between us and opening its doors; be’ezras Hashem by Isru Chag.
The new structure will not just be a better building. It will be a leap forward in our lofty mission, a foundation for Klal Yisroel’s future, and a light-tower guaranteeing that every Satmar boy here has a proper place to grow in the ways of our fathers and Rebbes.
The Rebbe ZY”A, with his final strength, personally came to lay the foundations of Satmar Monsey. He saw what was coming, a thriving empire of chinuch that would continue to flourish for generations. Today, he surely looks down with boundless nachas at the sight of our breathtaking growth. And today, we have the chance and obligation to bring him that nachas by securing the future of his vision.
But for that, we need your help. With your generosity, we will BE”H cross the finish line, open these doors, and ensure that the Satmar mosdos can proudly carry this torch forward.
