Сколько верующих было в Европе в 1945 году? Такой цифры нет: Евробарометр спрашивает о вере в Бога только с 2005 года. Зато есть переписи, опросы, церковная статистика и модельные оценки. По оценке центра Pew, с 2010 по 2020 год Франция и Великобритания перестали быть странами с христианским большинством: в Великобритании доля христиан снизилась с 62,4 до 49,4%, во Франции — с 57,1 до 46,5%.
