Australia is preparing new rules that could give users the option to opt out of algorithmically recommended social media feeds. Under the proposed 'My Feed, My Way' framework, users aged 16 and above could choose to see content from accounts they deliberately follow instead of having platforms continuously recommend posts based on algorithmic predictions.
