Setelah viral, kini terungkap bahwa bangunan tersebut bukan gereja, melainkan rumah pribadi.
Hal tersebut disampaikan pria yang menjadi saksi sekaligus korban dalam aksi penyerangan itu.
Ia menjelaskan kepada Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi bahwa rumah tersebut diperuntukkan bagi umat yang kurang mampu.
Lokasinya berada di Desa Tangkil, Kecamatan Cidahu, Sukabumi.
Ia mengklaim, rumah tersebut digunakan untuk pembinaan mental atau retret.
"Itu rumah pribadi yang diperuntukkan untuk mereka yang kurang beruntung kalau mau menginap, pembelajaran, pembinaan mental atau retret bahasa kerennya," ujar pria tersebut dalam video yang diunggah di TikTok Dedi Mulyadi, Senin (30/6/2025).
Namun, sekelompok massa tiba-tiba datang dan membuat keributan pada Jumat (27/6/2025).
Video yang beredar memperlihatkan kayu berbentuk salib dicopot dari dinding.
Aparat keamanan termasuk polisi dan TNI juga terlihat di lokasi, namun massa tetap nekat.
Menanggapi kejadian ini, Dedi langsung bergerak menuju Sukabumi untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah.
Ia menegaskan bahwa masalah tersebut menjadi tanggung jawab pemerintah demi terciptanya kerukunan.
"Saya akan mendampingi bapak ke Sukabumi hari ini," ujar Dedi.
