US Congressman Jason Crow, a Democrat representing Colorado, says his party’s priorities after winning control of Congress should be lowering living costs, restoring accountability and ending the war in Iran. Speaking to Al Jazeera, the former Army Ranger argues that impeachment should be considered as one possible tool for investigating alleged corruption and misconduct, rather than treated as an objective in itself. He says Democrats can use their control of congressional spending to pressure the Trump administration to stop funding the war, and wants Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth removed from office over his role in the conflict.
